Tehsil Complex Mandi turns into solid dump waste material

Mandi, Feb 3: Residents of Tehsil Mandi are up in arms against the concerned authorities for dumping solid and non-biodegradable waste in the Tehsil complex, risking lives of the people.Residnet resent the heaps of garbage that can be seen in the open in tehsil complex for every day.
"The garbage dumped out in the open produces such bad smell that it becomes difficult for us to even stand near the Tehsil complex mandi," said former sarpanch Tariq Manzoor "It has affected our health badly."
Tariq said complex employees have to face this problem on a daily basis as the concerned authorities does not remove the garbage for dumping away from busy tehsil complex mandi.
Meanwhile sarpanch Arai Aslam Tantray are demanding to the concerned authorities acts to remove this garbage for dumping elsewhere scientifically.
"The area should be sanitised to avoid an outbreak of any disease as the area gives a stinky smell which has made things difficult for us," said Aslam.
Panchayat sawjian Panch said that they have to face a lot of difficulties due to the solid waste being dumped in main tehsil complex mandi.
"We have apprised the concerned authorities several times and requested not to dump solid waste in the open here but they have turned a deaf ear to our repeated pleas," Banday said.
"Complex Employees hesitate to even come to the tehsil as the garbage dumped here produces a bad smell.
It has become difficult for us to even pass by the complex areas as the garbage dumped near the important places produce such bad smell. We have to keep our mouths covered in order to pass by these areas," Local said.
The area of the locals urged deputy commissioner poonch Rahul Yadav (IAS) to take cognizance of the matter and remove the waste dump in tehsil complex as soon as possible.
