IGP Jammu felicitate Police officers for outstanding work

Jammu, Feb 3: IGP Jammu, Mukesh Singh today felicitated Police officers of Jammu Province for outstanding work on different fronts.
According to press release, in order to felicitate officers of Jammu Province on account of outstanding work done during the year -2019 on different fronts including disposal of cases, good work done on anti militancy front, maintenance of Law and Order, Best innovative Ideas, on account of data entry in CCTNS and Programme organised under CAP), a function was organised by Zonal Police Headquarters, Jammu in to encourage them and award them. The best performers were awarded with “appreciation certificate” for their performance in these fields.
On account of best performance in NDPS cases and recovery of huge quantity of contraband drugs best district award was given to District Jammu. A total of 303 cases (94%) disposed out of total 320 cases registered. Besides recovery of huge quantity of contraband drugs Heroin weighing 20 Kgs, 976 Gms and 619 Mgs and Charas weighing 67 Kgs, 156 Gms recovered/seized.
For strict action against bovine smuggling Best District Award was given to District Jammu and District Udhampur for challaning 169 cases and 128 cases out of total cases 256 and 140 cases registered respectively. Besides, arresting 270 and 192 accused involved in the bovine smuggling. For best disposal of cases best district award was given to District Ramban and District Doda, as out of out of 806 cases, 710 (88%) were disposed-off and out of 716 cases, 618 (86%) were disposed off respectively.
For outstanding performance in connection with arrest of absconders best district award was given to District Kathua and District Doda for arrest of 92 and 63 absconders. On the basis of various programmes organised under Civic Action programme best district award was given to District Rajouri and District Jammu. For outstanding work on Anti Militancy front best district award was given to Distt. Kishtwar. 18 OGWs were arrested and action taken against them under law.
For outstanding work on account of Data entry in CCTNs, best district award was given to District Udhampur for feeding 92% final form feeding and 98% FIR feeding. On account of disposal of cases Best Police Station Awards was given to P/S Ramban (Urban) and Police Station Kalakote (Rural) Rajouri for disposal of 230 (93.40%) cases out of total 246 cases and 106 cases out of total 113 cases respectively.
For maintenance of record/best upkeep of Police Station best police station award was given to Police Station Gandhi Nagar (Distt Jammu) and Police Station Sunderbani.
