Yoga society organizes District Yoga Competition

JAMMU, Feb 3: In the memory of Neta ji Subash Chandra Bose, the Yoga society, Jammu Kashmir, organized a District yoga competition in Subash Stadium, Udhampur on 3rd of February 2020.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Udhampur, Rajeev Pandey was the Chief Guest whereas Sewa Singh, Retired superintendent of police attended the Qualifying round of Yoga Competition as Guest of Honour. The Chief Guest along with guest of honor and other visiting dignitaries illuminated the traditional lamp and declare the Championship open.
Thereafter, Bansi Lal, General Secretary of the Yoga Society, Jammu and Kashmir, read-out the “Welcome address”. About 170 Participants from different schools and organizations of the district participated in this yoga competition. The students, viz., Pari Sharma, Mahi Sharma, Renu Devi, Anu Devi and Sukriti Rani of Shri Partap Memorial Higher Secondary School, Udhampur performed special Yoga Aasans whereupon the Chief Guest Rajeev Pandey (IPS), Sr. superintendent of police, Udhampur, appreciated the performance and announce the appreciation letters to them.
The Yoga Society constituted in the year 2017 Is organizing the first yoga competition at all district level. The individual winners / winning teams of the Districts will contest State level Competition during last week of this Month on the eve of Swami Daya Nand Saraswati Jayanti. Needless to mention that the Yoga Society, Jammu & Kashmir, is organizing yoga camps / competition at various level just to infuse the spirit of yoga at mass level especially the young children majority of whom is falling prey to drug addiction.
