| DDC visits border villages | | |
KATHUA, Feb 7: District Development Commissioner, O P Bhagat today visited Bobiya and Chapaki villages of Hiranagar Sub Division to assess the pace of development work. ADC Kathua, Atul Gupta also accompanied the DDC during his visit. The DDC held threadbare discussions with the Panchs, Sarpanchs, Lambardars, Chowkidars and prominent citizens of the Bobiya village to frame strategy for plantation under Back to Village programme in the village without affecting the cultivated land. At Chapaki village, the DDC directed the revenue officials to vacate the encroached land for playfield. He also directed the DYSSO Kathua to prepare an estimate for the playfield and submit the same to the DDC Office at the earliest.
Delegation from nearby villages also raised several demands which mainly pertained to lanes and drains of the area. On the spot directions were passed by the DDC to the concerned officials to resolve the issue on priority.
