DDC Rajouri for 100% coverage of farmers under KCC

RAJOURI, FEB 07: District Development Commissioner, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh convened a special DLRC meeting to finalize the strategy regarding hundred percent coverage of farmers under Kisan Credit Card and also reviewed the progress of PM-KISAN, PMAY (Urban) and DEDS under Animal Husbandry, NIAP.
Chief Planning Officer Shama-Un Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Mohammad Ashraf, Deputy Director Planning Bilal Mir, Assistant Commissioner Development Sushil Khajuria, Lead District Manager JK Bank Sunil Sharma, DDM NABARD Kanav Sharma, Zonal Head Jk Bank, Ashutosh Sarin, Chief Agriculture Officer Janak Raj, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Mohammad Younis, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Sarfraz Naseem Chowdhury, Project Officer DUDA, Kavita and District Coordinators of different Banks were present in the meeting.
A threadbare discussion was held with regard to the process and methodologies to be adopted to cover hundred percent famers under KCC, Adhar linking of MGNREGA accounts and 100% percent registration of Breeders.
The Zonal Head JK Bank briefed the chair that total 35911 number of KCC accounts were opened in JK bank branches across the district out of which 18124 are active while 17787 are closed at present.
Regarding KCC and DEDS scheme under Animal Husbandry, it was informed that the Department has sponsored 1076 cases against which 434 stands sanctioned, 501 are pending while 141 were rejected. Under DEDS the Department has sponsored 433 number of cases against which 171 stands sanctioned, 194 are pending and 68 were rejected.
The District Sheep Husbandry Officer informed that there are 13000 breeders in the district which are to be registered. The Project Officer DUDA informed that out of 35 sponsored cases under HUF, 13 stands sanctioned, 19 are pending while 3 were rejected.
The DDC asked the officer and bankers to work in tandem to ensure 100 percent coverage of farmers under KCC scheme. It was also decided to organise special camps at village level for reopening of the KCC accounts besides 100 Adhaar linking of the MGNREGA accounts to be done at the earliest.
