DDC Kishtwar meets displaced persons of Pakal Dul HEP

KISHTWAR, Feb 8: District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana visited village Arzi Dool power house site of Pakal Dul Hydro Electric Power Project to facilitate and redress the grievances of displaced persons of Pakal Dul HEP.
He was accompanied with ACR Kishtwar Dr. Amir Hussain, GM CVPP, GM AFCON, ALC Kishtwar and other concerned officers/officials.
DDC who is also Commissioner RR Plan informed the locals/PAF of Arzi Village that under Local Area Development Plan (LADP) of Pakal Dul HEPP, Govt. has sanctioned one community hall amounting to Rs 80.00 lacs, two passenger shed with toilets amounting Rs. 20.00 lacs and one water supply scheme amounting to Rs 26.00 lacs
The people of the area put forth demands like employment to PAFs in HEP, construction of school building, reassessment of additional structures, road connectivity especially maintenance of paths, Brust wall for local temple, availability of water, electricity, immediate releasing of balance payment they further alleged that dust/pollution causing health problems for the inhabitants,
DDC Kishtwar listened their grievances patiently and assured for early redreassal of the same.
Regarding WSS for Arzi village, DDC directed PHE authorities to workout for pending water supply scheme immediately and provide water connection to all effected household of Arzi village within one month.
DDC onspot announced Rs. 1 Crore for construction of school building at Arzi Village, for which locals expressed sincere gratitude and thanked DDC.
He directed ALC Kishtwar to check whether their is dust/pollution at work place, if there is, take stringent action against the concerned company and penalized as per the relevant act.
Concerned Project authorities were directed to ensure implementation of all labours laws in letter and spirit besides ensure PF being provided to the workers.
He further directed them to provide LED light bulbs to all the displaced persons of Arzi village besides dilapidated path roads in the Arzi Village be maintained at an earliest.
While inspecting the ongoing works under HEP Pakal Dul, he made visit to the site area where work is being executed.
General public of Village Arzi, Dool appreciated the visit of DDC Kishtwar and assured full support to District administration Kishtwar and executing agencies for smooth execution of HEP which is of national interest.
