DDC Ramban reviews progress under district capex budget, Back to Village

RAMBAN, Feb 8: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan chaired a meeting of district and sectoral officers to review progress under district capex budget and “Back to Village” here today.
The meeting was attended by CPO Kasturi Lal, XENs of PHE, PWD, REW, PDD, CMO, CEO, DFO, Batote, ADs of Planning and other district and sectoral officers.
In the meeting, the DDC reviewed physical and financial achievements in detail being made by Education, PWD, PHE, PDD, RDD, Youth Services and Sports, Health, Animal Husbandry, Forest and other departments under district plan.
DDC directed the officers to accelerate the pace of work to achieve the tangible results and stressed on convergences of resources of different department for better results on the ground to meet the aspirations of the public.
Chief Education Officer was directed to take necessary steps to complete construction work of buildings of Kasturba Gandhi Valika Bidyalaya (KGVB) at Chanderkote and Ukhral so that schools will function in their own buildings.
DDC directed the officers to ensure the Geo-Tagging and photography of all construction and other development works especially take up under Back to Village initiative in the district.
He asked the ADDC Ramban to visit construction works alongwith concerned officers to monitor ongoing works and submit the physical verification report on monthly basis.
He also discussed various issues including construction of PMAY houses, Mid day Meal, development of sports infrastructure in district for overall development of youth, functioning of newly constructed girls hostel Kanthi, water supply schemes, major projects of PWD and RDD.
He directed the construction agencies to expedite the progress on these vital works to ensure their timely completion. He asked the officers to put in extra efforts for judicious and effective utilization of funds besides removing bottlenecks hindering developmental works.
He also directed the officers to ensure bio-metric attendance in their offices to ensure attendance and punctuality in their subordinate offices also.
