Jammu Blue to meet Jammu Red, Poonch to clash with Baramulla in Semifinals

JAMMU, Feb 12: In a Hockey Tournament Championship four matches' were played on Wednesday. Wherein, Jammu Blue, Jammu Red, team for Poonch and Baramulla emerged as winner and will play in semi finals.
The Hockey championship is being organized on league basis.12 teams from all over the J&K UT are participating in this championship. 4 matches on league basis were played daily. Motto of this championship is 'Say no to banned drugs and substances'. The teams are competing for winner trophy VK Kohli trophy and runners up Sham Lal Sharma trophy.
The first match was played between Ganderbal & Poonch of pool A which was won by Poonch 11 goals to 0. Agrim Raina scores goal in 6th minute of game. Navjot Singh scored 3 goals in 10th, 15th, & 59th minutes of game. Sanjiv Kumar scored goal in 16th, minutes of game. Salib Raina scored 2 goals in 22nd & 59th minute of game, Jagmeet Singh scored in 29th minute,
Matinder Pal Singh scored 2 goals in 35,47th minutes; Mukesh Kumar scored 2 goals in 50th & 56th minutes of game for Poonch, whereas Ganderbal failed to open account.
In 2nd match of day Jammu Red outplayed Ananatnag with a margin of 4 goals to 0. Gurjit Singh scored goal for Jammu Red 20th in minute of game. Hridey scored goal in 40 minute of game. Navjot Singh scored one goal in 57th minute & Karandeep scored goal in 60th minute. In 3rd match of day Baramulla gave tough fight to favourite Hira Nagar and match was drawn gole less. Baramulla declared winner on better goal average.
4th match of the day was played between Kathua & Jammu Blue. In well contested match Jammu Blue won match by a margin of 6 goals to 1 defeating Kathua.1st goal of match was scored by Satvinder Singh for Kathua. Gurpreet Singh scored leveler in 6th minute & in 10th minute for Jammu Blue, Manish scored 2 goals 9th & 58th minute Sarabjit Singh in 24th and Surya Malik scored goal in 59th minutes of game for Jammu.
