JKSSB Approves selection for 40 posts under PM Special package

JAMMU, Mar 04: The 164th Board meeting of J&K Services Selection Board was held under the Chairmanship of its Chairman, Khalid Jahangir, at Sehkari Bhavan, Bahu Plaza Jammu.
The meeting had threadbare discussion on various issues including release of recommendation of withheld cases of various categories of posts of Kashmir division and PM Special Package (Migrants), finalization of selection of Junior Assistant (Migrants) under PM Special package, withdrawal of 30 posts of Junior Engineer Electrical of PDD, fixing/framing of selection criteria for the item numbers 261 (04 of 2013), 232 (03 of 2016), 441 (04 0f 2016) and 284(05 of 2015), keeping the office order number 19-SSB of 2020 dated 14.01.2020 in abeyance regarding Selection list of Junior Legal Assistant (Migrants) and forwarding of Selection list for the post of Medical Assistant Div cadre Kashmir, H&ME department (Migrants) under item number 159, 04 of 2017 and after due consideration, appropriate decisions were taken by the Board.
The Board accorded approval to selection for 40 posts including 10 posts of Lab Assistant (Migrants) Division cadre Kashmir and 30 posts of Technician iii (Migrants) Division cadre Kashmir, release of 15 recommendations of withheld cases of various categories of posts of Kashmir Division and PM special Package (Migrants) including 7 long pending withheld cases for the post of Teacher District Budgam, under PM’s special package for Kashmiri Migrants, out of total 23 examined cases 3 were cancelled.
Further, the Board decided to forward the selection list for the post of Medical Assistant Div cadre Kashmir, H&ME department (Migrants) and to keep in abeyance the office order number 19-SSB of 2020 dated 14.01.2020 with regard to cancellation of Selection list of Junior Legal Assistant (Migrants).
The matter regarding selection of Junior Assistants (Migrants) under PM Package was also deliberated upon in the meeting and it was resolved that preference shall be sought from the candidates for the post of Junior Assistant (Migrants) under various item numbers of notification number 04 of 2017, as a special case, being part of PM’s special package.
The Board also approved withdrawal of 30 posts of JE Electrical on the request of Indenting department i.e Power Development Department and fixed the criteria for early completion of their selection process.
The meeting was attended by the Board members including M.Shafiq Chak, Angrez Singh Rana, Pritam Lal Atri , Harvinder Kour, Professor Tasleema Peer, Controller of Examination JKSSB Musheer Ahmad Mirza, Special Secretary( Legal) Jung Bhadur and Secretary, JKSSB, Ranjeet Singh and other officers and officials.
