Four drivers booked for overloading of passengers

Rajouri, Mar 12 : Tightening its noose against violation of traffic rules and regulations that can prove fatal on roads, The Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri have booked four drivers who were found indulged in overloading of passengers.
Police said that a team headed by Station House Officer Manjakote, Manzoor Kohli was on routine vehicle checking at roads of Manjakote Tehsil when three buses heavily overloaded with passengers were intercepted.
These buses include JK02AK 2475 driven by Zakir Ali son of Barkat Hussain, bus JK02U 9614 driven by Majeed Hussain son of Mohammad Farooq resident of Kotli Kalaban and bus JK02AJ 5186 driven by Mumtaz Ahmed son of Sana Ullah Tantray resident of Haveli Poonch.
All the drivers have been booked in three separate cases registered under sections 279, 336 IPC in Manjakote police station.
Similarly, another team of police headed by Station House Officer Nowshera Fareed Ahmed during routine patrolling intercepted a magic auto JK11C 0769 that was found overloaded with passengers with some of the passengers were also sitting in back compartment of the vehicle.
Taking strong note, police seized the vehicle on the spot and a case in FIR 37/2020 under sections 279, 336 IPC have been registered in Nowshera police station with driver of the vehicle have been booked.
Locals of the areas highly appreciate to the Rajouri police for taking serious note against bus driver and their owners.
