Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, civil Secretariat suspended In-Charge, Assistant Director Baramulla.
Government of Jammu and Kashmir issued an order vide no: 40.JK (FSC&CA) OF 2020 DATED 12-03-2020, that reads suspension of Shri Mushtaq Ahmad Wani, I/C Assistant Director, Baramulla.
“Pending inquiry into the matter and as reported by Director, FCS&CA, Kashmir about missapropriation/ missing of truck loads to the tune of 633.00 Qtis of rice read with further shortages/missing of food grains of 362.00 Qtis of rice at Baramulla, reads an order.

It is further ordered that during the period of suspension, the officer shall remain attached in the Directorate of FCS7CA, Kashmir till further order, reads an order.
However sources said that, earlier seven truckloads of rice were dispatched from peg Baramulla to Hygam for distribution among the people of north Kashmir’s circle-D in December last year but that failed to reach the destination.
If sources are to be believed they said that, while three months have lapsed, there is no trace of the truckloads of rice.
Meanwhile it was known from the reliable sources in the department of Food and Suplies that, seven truck loaded with rice were dispatched from peg Baramulla to Hygam granary in the month of December only.
Sources further said that, accordingly on Dec 31, 2019 the challan was made by the offiical at Hygam and the same trucks were dispatched to Baramulla D Circle, after which the authorties concerned denied that they received the truck loads of rice so for.
The offiicals at the department concerned have sold that very rice that was meant to reach to the destination against the fake challans, sources alleges.
