BJP hails govt’ efforts to fight Corona virus
3/12/2020 11:05:29 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 12: "Now that Coronavirus has been declared a pandemic by World Health Organisation (WHO), Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir must put in place strict measures to contain it by all means. Though schools and colleges besides movie theatres have been closed in the UT, more is required to be done to prevent spread of this virus".
This was stated by Executive Member Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K, Raman Suri, who added that marriages and other social events are still continuing to take place in Jammu and Kashmir. Moreover, people are continuing to unnecessarily crowd places like Bus Stand and Railway Station.
The administration needs to be a little strict and should allow only the passengers to move on while stopping others from crowding such areas.
Raman Suri, while appreciating the preparedness of health authorities in dealing with patients showing symptoms of Coronavirus or established cases, said that now it is the turn of commoners to co-operate with government agencies and prevent further spread of the virus. Marriages with big gatherings are continuing to happen, social meetings are taking place, and places like bus stands, railway stations, shopping malls and restaurants are being crowded.
Raman Suri urged people to cooperate with administration and take every possible measure to help fight this pandemic.
He also urged people not to panic and stop hoarding sanitisers, face masks and other articles of cleanliness as the same must be available in every household. Raman Suri also urged hoteliers and restauranteurs to ensure hygiene in their kitchens and surroundings.
He urged administration to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all public places while ensuring that people remain calm and don't unnecessarily crowd places like hospitals, financial institutions and social places, especially marriage halls and markets.
