| MC Jourian fails to provide necessary accessories to ‘Safai Karamcharis’ | | |  RAJESH TANDON

JAMMU, Mar 24: On one hand the threat of coronavirus epidemic is looming large while on the other several ‘Safai Karamcharis’ in Jourian town near Akhnoor area of district Jammu are working day and night to keep the town neat and clean without caring for their own lives and sincerely doing their jobs in these testing times.
Meanwhile, the negligence of the Municipal Committee (MC) Jourian has come to light as it failed to provide necessary accessories like raincoats, hand gloves and shoes in the midst of coronavirus threat and the inclement weather conditions to the ‘Safai Karamcharis’ due to which they are facing lots of problems.
While the entire country had expressed its gratitude on the call of Prime Minister on March 22 to those who have a major role in this difficult phase but the MC Jourian is surprisingly keeping an indifferent attitude towards ‘Safai Karamcharis’ by ignoring their basic requirements and in the process playing with their health.
Some pictures showing plight of the ‘Safai Karamcharis’ are proof enough to vindicate the allegations that the MC Jourian has no care whatsoever for its staff members and they are being treated shabbily.
Meanwhile, people of the town have strongly condemned such poor treatment of ‘Safai Karamcharis’ by the MC Jourian. Several locals said that instead of appreciating their service, the MC Jourian is neglecting the ‘Safai Karamcharis’ which is highly deplorable and unacceptable to the society. |
