BoI distributes dry ration among needy in Jeevan Nagar, Digiana

JAMMU, May 1: Going beyond the call of duty, Bank of India (BoI), Jammu Center, Amritsar Zone under NBG North-I continued its drive to distribute dry ration to needy and distressed people in these tough times. The drive was carried out this time in Jeevan Nagar and Digiana. Needless to mention here that this is the 4th time that the Bank has come forward to held the downtrodden during the lockdown period. Earlier also the ration was distributed in the Purkhoo and Gol Puli Areas of Jammu and Gandarbal area of Srinagar. The activity was carried out in association with the women wing Samooh, Jammu one of the prestious Socio -Cultural NGO of J&K.
The exercise was organized under the guidance of Dr Smita Murmu the first lady of J&K. Dr Murmu has categorically advised to take social distancing and other sanitazation measures during distribution.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Manager Satwari Branch, Puneet Gupta said that the decision was taken by their General Manager NBG North-1 Salil Kr Swain and their Zonal Manager Vasudev, Dy Zonal Manager Kewal Kumar Garg, under our Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility.
