DC Poonch inspects quarantine centres

POONCH, May 1: Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Yadav today inspected various Quarantine centres established in the district. He was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police Ramesh Angral, SDM surankote, ACR, Tehsildar and other officers of Health and MC Poonch.
During the visit, DDC inspected various quarantine centre established at District Hospital Poonch, P.H.C Nangali Sab, Banpat Mandi, Loran and Surankote Novadalya and took stock of arrangements being put in place at the quarantine centres. The DC was informed that Supervisory Officers, cooks, Sweepers and Nodal Officers have also been designated for each quarantine centre established across the district they will assist and report the District quarantine Nodal Officer. The DC also interacted with the Supervisory and Medical staff. He directed the concerned to remain in touch with the district administration and directed for frequent fumigation of the quarantine centres premises. The DC also directed the concerned officers to provide proper hygienic refreshment to the boarders besides ensuring proper sanitation, heating and round the clock electricity at the quarantine centre.
Meanwhile, the DC also advised people to abstain from spreading rumours and said that rumour mongers and those spreading fake information thereby disturbing public order will be dealt with severely as per law.
It is pertinent to mention that so far no positive case has been reported in the district and strict restrictions have been imposed in entire area to contain the spread of Corona infection.
