JAMMU, May 23: Former Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ramban Ashok Kumar who has represented the constituency for a single term is an example of honesty.
Before joining the politics, Ashok Kumar was teacher by profession but destiny changed the course of his life, making him MLA of Ramban in the year 2008. He is widely known as a man of integrity and honestly. It was the result of his honesty and integrity that people overwhelmingly supported him and made him a legislator.
Ashok Kumar remained honest and has been working for the public since the time as a government teacher and through his hard earned money, he did various public related works but at present he has also been leaving no stone unturned to extend helping hand to the public during the COVID-19 lockdown but he has limited sources and is helping through his honestly earned money as a teacher, as a legislator and now through his pension.
“In no way he can match the Jammu based politicians, who have unlimited money gathered through corrupt practices but honest people have limited sources to spend on public welfare initiatives and have been doing it”, a local said, adding that Ashok Kumar has been silently doing his work of helping the masses but he had not accumulated the money such as Jammu based politicians, which can be spent without any record.” |
