Senior JK Cricketers appreciates ICA chief for helping retired Cricketers

Jammu, May 24 : Senior Cricketers of the UT of Jammu and Kashmir and members of the ICA which includes Vinod Sharma,Shahid Parvez,Ashvinder Koul, Surinder Singh and Rajesh Gill appreciated the Indian Cricket Association Chief Ashok Malotra for extending financial assistance to the needy retired Cricketers of the country who do not recieve any pension from BCCI or State Associations including one former cricketer Rajinder Sharma of JK ( Cricket Coach of Parade Ground Jammu ).
Rajesh Gill former Ranji player and member ICA informed that as per the information received from the ICA Chief Ashok Malotra the ICA had recieved 52 applications men and women for financial assistance from the retired first class Cricketers and their widows.
The five members of the board of directors of ICA scruitnised the applications and came with a final list of 36 Cricketers. Based on the income and their age , a total of 20 Cricketers will recieve a maximum of Rs.one lac. While others will get a sum of Rs.80 thousands and Rs.60 thousands respectively . some of the top international Cricketers including Sunil Gavaskar,Kapil Dev,Rahul Dravid, Mohd. Azarudhin and many Former Cricketers including few from JK namely Rajesh Gill, Surinder Singh Bagal (Former Ranji Cricketers) and Avinash Kumar Sharma Mentor of The Game Changer Cricket Club Jammu have came forward and supported the initiative of ICA Chief Ashok Malotra.
And under the dynamic leadership of Ashok Malotra, ICA has raised the total amount of Rs.57 lacs.
It needs to mention here that the name of Rajinder Sharma have been recommended to the Indian Cricket Association for his financial assistance by Vinod Sharma and Rajesh Gill. They also personally requested ICA for the help of former cricketer of UT Jammu and Kashmir.

Ashok Malotra ICA Chief has informed that the amount will be credited in the account of the nominated cricketers in a couple of days positively.
