25 persons relieved from administrative quarantine centers in Kishtwar

JAMMU, June 6: In a major relief to the people of Kishtwar district that reported 4 positive cases last week from Thakrie and Padder areas, 66 close contacts of these four COVID-19 patients found to be negative.
As per the details available with Early Times, among the 66 close contacts who found negative today for COVID-19, 58 are from Quarantine Center Dool and 8 from CVPPP Quarantine Center.
Speaking to Early Times, the senior officials informed that there are 416 persons still in various quarantine centers across the district adding that 58 samples were also collected today at District Hospital Kishtwar while at the same time 36 more persons with travel history from Red/Containment zones had been put into quarantine on arrival at Kishtwar.
Meanwhile, the first COVID positive case of Kishtwar District reached Kishtwar after he was successfully cured for the disease at Govt Hospital Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, however he has been instructed to stay under home quarantine for next two weeks.
In yet another goof up at testing lab, 58 samples of people under quarantine in Kishtwar district were found to be confusing compelling the authorities to collect fresh sampling of these 58 persons to clear the doubts.
Following the alarm raised by the test laboratory, the Kishtwar administration who had ordered the release of all these 58 persons following completion of their 14 days quarantine period swung into action and put all of these a fresh into quarantine centers as a result of which there was an anger among these people.
Senior officials told the Early Times that they were released after the officials get green signal from the authorities adding that they were surprised following and alarm raised by the pathologist at COVID-19 testing lab after which all the suspects had been traced and put into quarantine.
They said that once they received fresh reports from experts, only then they will be released from the quarantine centers.
