UDHAMPUR, June 6 : In a heart wrenching incident, a poor man and his family were brutally attacked by a man and few others in village Rapper-Deoat in tehsil Majalta of district Udhampur over a land dispute.

The victim, who is presently recuperating at Government Medical College & Hospital, Jammu said that he is under immense fear and scared to return to his home as he might be killed or attacked again by the same person.
“The person who assaulted me says that he will definitely go to jail but before that he will kill someone,” claimed Sudarshan Kumar, demanding that police should protect him and his family members from the wrath of the accused and his supporters.
Kumar disclosed that the reason of enmity and attack on him was a piece of land owned by him but being demanded forcefully by his rival to let a road pass through it.
In the same video a little girl also narrates the incident with sobs and fears reflecting from her eyes.
However, police have taken cognizance of the incident and the culprit has been booked under Section 307 of IPC for attempt to murder.
