TBS in collaboration with RBI organizes Webinar ‘eBAAT’

JAMMU, June 6: The Business School (TBS), University of Jammu (JU) organized a webinar on ‘e-banking awareness & Training Programme –eBAAT ’, in collaboration with Reserve Bank of India (RBI). RBI organised an awareness e-session with the students of The Business School, University of Jammu in a webinar on Webex app. The webinar was conducted by Kanupriya Madan, Manager at RBI, New Delhi. Over 50 MBA students participated in the awareness programme.
While speaking on the topic, Madan stressed upon the need of e-banking in the present scenario. The session was aimed at imparting the knowledge to the students about E- banking & various electronic payment options, Banking related frauds, Safety Tips to Avert Frauds, limited customer liability in case of Unauthorised Electronic Banking Transactions and Banking Ombudsman-Digital Transactions. RBI has been reaching out to the masses and educating them about the recent changes in the banking space.
The Resource person talked about many prevalent banking frauds in India like card skimming, phishing, sim swap etc & students were also made acquainted about the tips to tackle such frauds. Further, the speaker also laid emphasis on Banking Ombudsman Scheme & the concept of Limited Customer liability in case of an unauthorized transaction.
The webinar session was followed by a lively question answer session, wherein a number of queries were raised by the students to clear their doubts about the present uncertain situation and the role of e-banking in this prevailing situation.
Prof Sameer Gupta Director, TBS thanked H K Soni General Manager, RBI, Jammu for taking such an initiative.
