Jammu, Jun 12: Police on Friday arrested two drug smugglers with contraband of heroin worth Rs 20 lakh from Gangyal area here on the city outskirts.
“Police team of PS Gangyal, while on patrolling duty at Kunjwani Bye Pass near unique nursery opposite Anutham Hotel, found a truck parked on road side suspiciously,” police spokesman here said.
He added that during search of the vehicle, 400 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered from possession of the two persons sitting in it, who were identified as Hardeep Singh of Gurian Tehsil Ploor District Jalandhar and Darbara Ram of Faghwara District Kapurthala Punjab.
A case was registered and investigation started. |
