92 fresh cases detected in Ladakh UT, active cases rise to 718

Leh, June 20: At least 92 fresh cases of COVID-19 were detected in Ladakh Union Territory, thus taking the overall toll of active positive cases up to 718.
As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh, 92 more persons were tested positive for COVID-19 in UT Ladakh. “With this, the number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has gone up to 718; 146 in Leh district and 572 in Kargil district,” the bulletin reads.
It added that yesterday, the Health department Leh received 189 sample reports from NCDC New Delhi. “Out of the total sample reports, 24 positive sample reports and 49 negative sample reports are of Leh district and 68 positive and 48 negative sample reports are of Kargil district,” the bulletin reads.
The bulletin informed that the condition of all 718 active cases of COVID-19 in UT Ladakh is stable. There are 146 active cases in Leh district and 572 active cases in Kargil district, it said.
It added that 22 COVID patients were discharged from COVID hospital Kargil after their negative reports were received by the Health department Leh.
Today, the Health department sent 296 samples to NCDC New Delhi for testing. “Out of the total sample 70 samples are of Leh district and 226 samples are of Kargil district,” it said.
22 passengers and 207 drivers and helpers of 141 Trucks /Tankers and light motors Vehicles were screened at Khaltsi Check post yesterday. The vehicles were also sanitized.
The Health workers at Upshi check post screened 134 passengers yesterday, including drivers and helpers who came to Leh in 52 tankers, 42 trucks and 04 light vehicles.
