Adminstration fails to provide proper power supply: Partap

Jammu, June 21: Irked over frequent unscheduled power cuts, Young Panthers today staged protest demonstration against the administration of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territorry over frequent power cuts across the district.
The protest was held under the leadership of Partap Singh Jamwal (Sr. YP Leader, JKNPP), Bhanu Partap Goria (President Jammu West YP) and Arun Mehra (Distt. Vice President YP) demanding uninterrupted power supply.
YP activists shouted slogans against UT administration of J&K UT and Power Development Department (PDD) and raised slogans against them here at Jammu.
Partap Singh Jamwal alleged that there has been no power supply to them for most of the time as apart from unscheduled power cuts.
Partap said that Central goverment put tall claims of huge power generations but yet have not got acquainted with the state of power supply in the UT and only delivering sermons of development sitting in AC rooms.
He said these days when the temperature is crossing plus 42°C mark, the department had failed to ensure its regular supply.
Bhanu Partap Goria also addresed and said that the dangling wires are posing a threat to the lives of people Ward No. 14 Bhagwati Nagar. He accused that Power Development Department (PDD) has failed to repair the electric wires in the area which are openly hanging from past more than one year and 6 months.
He said “situation is very bad in the ward, electric wires are hanging everywhere used instead of electric poles. YP leader warned the administration to improve the power supply in such scorching heat unless administration have to bear the brunt of public anger.
