On Balidan Diwas, Kavinder starts Free Medical Camp

Jammu, June 23: Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Kavinder Gupta paid floral tributes and lighted lamps on Mukherjee’s portrait at his residence and at various other places in Gandhi Nagar constituency to celebrate Pandit Shyama Prasad Mukherjee’s death anniversary as ‘Balidan Diwas’. The program was organised by BJP District Jammu president Vinay Gupta and attended by Ankush Gupta, Councillor Lucky Puri, Councillor Rahul Kumar, Councillor Ajay Gupta, Narinder Koki, Vivek Patyal, Sunny Sangotra and Rachit Khosla among other office bearers from state team, District team and mandal teams. After attending Virtual rally which was addressed by Union Ministers at party head quarters, Kavinder Gupta attended series of such programs organised by BJP District Jammu team at various places. At Satwari a medical camp was organised on Balidan diwas of Dr. Mukherjee to mark a respect to his sacrifice. Free medicines were also distributed to the needy at the camp. Free of cost ayurvedic medicines for boosting immunity and preventing COVID-19, were also distributed among the locals. Dr. Shefali Sharma- Medical Officer, Dr. Sukhpreet Kaur-Ayush specialist) and Adarsh Kumar- pharmacist managed & assisted the camp. The medical officers warned the villagers against visiting quacks for any ailment. They advised them to visit Government hospitals if they had any type of medical problems.
Addressing the gathering at the camp, Gupta said about superiority of Ayurvedic medicine and invited the people to come forward to avail the benefits of the services of the indigenous system of medicines during the prevailing situation, in case of any type of ailment as these medicines has no side effects and thanked directorate of ISM for accepting the request for organising a free medical camp on Dr. Mukherjee ‘Balidan Diwas. Gupta said that in Jammu and Kashmir, Mukherjee staged a strong protest against Section 370. Gupta highlighted Dr. Mukherjee’s life character and his dedication to the nation. Following the standards laid down by him for the service of the nation, the path laid out was resolved by Modi Government by abrogating Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and making the dream of Dr. Mukherjee true of “Ek vidhan-Ek Nishan”. Gupta advocated for declaring June 23rd as “Blidan Diwas” by Lt. Governor as a mark of homage to the person whose sacrifice lead to unite and accede J&K with India permanently. Harbans Choudhary, Pitamber Shrama, Inder Prakash, Ashok Ranyal, Raju Sharma and Sanjeev Singh were prominent among others present on the occasion.
