JKGB organizes Credit-cum-Financial Awareness programme at Nud

SAMBA, June 23: J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB) organized Credit-cum-Financial Awareness programme at its Branch Office Nud under district Samba.
Financial Inclusion & Insurance Department under the chairmanship of Sh. Janak Raj Angural in collaboration with NABARD organized Financial & Digital Literacy Awareness Programmes in Nadh under B/O Nadh, District-Samba on the theme of Credit Camp cum awareness among Farmers, Students & Non-Farm working groups. The Credit cum awareness programme was properly followed with social distancing norms in view of COVID-19. Many of the line departments participate in the credit cum awareness programme i.e., Chief Guests B K Chandan Joint Director Agriculture, DDM NABARD, Samriti Bhagat, Shamsher Singh, HOD FIID, J&K Grameen Bank, Amit Laira, Regional Manager J&K Grameen Bank, Sarpanch Ramesh Singh & Sushma Devi,
They all sensitized the participants about agricultural developments in banking sector and latest Govt schemes. They emphasizes that the aim of this awareness camp is to completely allay any misconception in the minds of youngsters who intend to foray into business ventures. A number of sanction letters to various beneficiaries were handed over by the chief guest to the tune of Rs 50 lakh during the camp to farmers under KCC.
Speaking on the occasion, Sudhir Singh, Branch Head Nad, told the gathering regarding the schemes of the Bank and stressed upon the social security schemes including APY, PMJJBY, PMSBY and presented the vote of thanks. The masks were distributed among all the participants and proper sanitation was done to all participants of the programme including staff members and line departments.
