As per the details available with Early Times, after arriving at Doda the ACB team directly visited the office of AD FCS&CA Doda and put their hands on key documents pertaining to transportation of ration from PEG Godowns at Ghat.
Speaking to Early Times, senior official in the Food Department confirmed the development, adding that the officials of ACB demanded the details pertaining to functioning of PEG and same was handed over to them.
He further said that after collecting the relevant documents, ACB team left the office of AD FCS&CA Doda.
The ACB team will also make a visit to PEG Godown at Ghat in the morning. Speaking to Early Times, senior official in the department privy to the development ruled out any bungling or misappropriation in the scheme and termed it as business rivalry, adding that after SRTC failed to provide the vehicles, the department after proper procedure took up the matter with Director Food who in return approached the concerned secretary and lastly after the approval from the Finance department the private vehicles were used for lifting of the ration after proper RO.
The senior officer further said that ACB is bound to conduct the inquiry in case anyone filed a complaint with them, adding that the department is hopeful to come clean on the allegations which are simply a motivated business rivalry.
