DDC Ramban reviews pandemic control measures at DDMA meeting
‘COVID care facility being enhanced to 500 beds’

RAMBAN, July 22: District Development Commissioner, Nazim Zai Khan today chaired a meeting of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) and discussed the Covid pandemic control measures in the district.
SSP, Haseeb Ur- Rahman; ADC Ashok Sharma; ASP Sanjay Parihar; ACR, Dherinder Sharma; Account Officer, SDMs, CMO, MS, DH Ramban, Xens of PWD, PDD and various district officers attended the meeting under full COVID-19 protocol.
The DDC informed that administration is augmenting COVID care facilities to 500 beds in the district to accommodate Asymptomatic and mild COVID patients. He asked the concerned to encourage the public to cooperate with the frontline workers by coming forward for sampling. He also suspended the construction work at all working sites being executed by the different companies engaged on NH-44, Railway and other projects. He directed the Construction agencies to ensure 100% COVID testing of labourers as well as other staff members to restart the work by implementing SOPs. He directed the Health department to intensify the sampling to ensure testing of labourers as well as all service providers besides frontline workers of different departments deputed on COVID related duties. The CMO was directed to issue Health Cards to labourers as well as all service providers for their safety and hassle free execution of work besides preventing spread of COVID-19.
He directed the police department to ensure strict implementation of restrictions including suspension of public transport in district especially in red zones.
The DDC reviewed the financial and physical status of material and equipment procurements besides other services being provided to the COVID -19 patients migrant labourers, students and quarantine inmates.
He also took the stock of measures taken by the different departments to create COVID care and quarantine facilities besides providing services to patients and inmates of quarantine centres.
A detailed deliberation was held on management of private as well as government accommodation acquired for establishing COVID care centres, quarantine centres and accommodation facilities for the doctors and other medicos across the district.
The DDC directed the officers to submit utilization certificates besides ensuring judicious utilization of the funds provided by the government under SDRF COVID-19.
He directed the officers to handle the situation as per the recommended guidelines and operating procedures and said that everyone has to play his role in combating the deadly disease.
