Early Times Report

Jammu, July 30: Focussing on providing a clean and conducive atmosphere during this pandemic situation, Former State President BJP Sat Sharma (CA) visited Wards 40 and 41 where the works for cleaning Deep Drain (Nullah) is in progress after rains caused chaos for locals. Sharma was also accompanied by Corporators Sanja Baru and Neelam Nargotra, local residents and political activists of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that he has spoken to concerned officials of JMC (Jammu Municipal Corporation) for taking up the works of cleaning of Deep Drains and small drains on regular basis in all 26 wards of Jammu West so that a neat and clean atmosphere could be provided to the public in these tough times. Sharma stated that in these wards water in Deep Drains were blocked and was entering the houses of locals which was not a good sign concerning sanitation and therefore the cleaning works had to be taken up to provide the best possible aura to inhabitants. He also stated that traces of COVID 19 were found in the sewage samples taken in another State of country which has shown that the presence of the virus exists in such places and we have to be alert as well and motivate others too to keep a system of neat and clean surroundings.
Sanjay Baru and Neelam Nargotra complimented the former MLA for taking up the most important works in the area as before the area suffered with many irregularities including foul smell of drains, garbage lying outside Nullahs and other things which will be improved after the it’s cleaning. They also stated that every work done under the tenure of former MLA depicts that Jammu West progressed a lot in the last five years and will keep developing under his leadership. District Vice President Jaideep Sambyal, Mohalla Welfare President DD Sharma, Ward President Ashok Wazir, Rakesh Sharma, Jatinder Khajuria, Rakesh Duggal and others were present.
