Jammu, Aug 17: Stephens College of Nursing celebrated 74th Independence Day with fervor, zest & enthusiasm. Despite of COVID-19 situation the celebration was done actively while sitting at home. The management & faculty members of SCON participated whole heartedly in this celebration. Dr. Kamal Saini, IPS (IGP Retd.) Chairman SCON & Satvinder Saini (Director SIPS) extended their Independence Day greeting to all the faculty members & the students. They paid tribute to the freedom fighters & martyrs who laid their life for the sake of our motherland & let us free. Muni Dhar (Principal SCON) also extended Independence Greetings on the auspicious day of Independence Day. She motivated the students to stay calm & safe in this critical situation & enjoy every moment freely. She said that all the societal prejudices have played and demeaned the velour and hard work of our great freedom fighter that scarified their everything to breath in n free India. Manoj Kotru (Administrator SCON) highly applauded the faculty members to present a ‘Special Bonanza’ for the students. He also wished all the faculty members & the students a very Happy Independence Day. He inspired the students to instill patriotism & make the nation proud by contributing to the society. Ritu Gupta (Asstt. Professor & Activity Incharge) recited a heart touching patriotic poem to chant the features of mammoth & Incredible India. Sonam Sharma (Asstt. Professor), Kavita Rana (SNA Advisor), Josheela (Clinical Instructor) & Shabnam Sambyal (Clinical Instructor) expressed their views on ‘Contribution of Nurses towards the Nation to motivate & cognizant the students. Shilpa Thakur (Clinical Instructor) also expressed her views on patriotism in the form of poem.
