| Independence Day celebrated with enthusiasm across Samba | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
SAMBA, Aug 17: 74th Independence Day was celebrated with fervour and enthusiasm across Samba district. Various political, non-political and social organizations unfurled national flag in separate programmes organized on the occasion.
In Vijaypur, activists of Pradesh Congress Committee under the chairmanship of Congress leader Babal Gupta paid tributes to freedom fighters and patriots for their sacrifices and take oath to follow the path of freedom fighters national integration.
Dr Harmesh Slathia, PDP District President along with the party workers celebrated the 74th Independence Day at party headquarter Vijaypur. He hoisted the national flag and also paid tributes to the freedom fighters and distributed sweets among the participants.
Arun Sharma, BJP State Executive member along with the party workers celebrated the 74th Independence Day at Vijaypur. He unfurled the national flag on the occasion and also distributed sweets among the participants.
SSP Samba, Shakti Pathak hoisted national flag on at Jamia Masjid in Chak Doulat Gujjar Basti Tehsil Ramgarh. The function was organized in collaboration with Sarpanch Panchayat Halqua Gurwal Mohan Lal Sharma, Master Hasham Ali and Molvi of Jamia Masjid.
A flag hosting ceremony was also organized at GHSS, Govt. Middle School and Panchayat Ghar of village Gho Brahmana. Sarpanch Panchayat Halqa Gho Brahmana Ram Paul Sharma unfurled the national flag at these places in the presence of panchs of the panchayat. |
