JAMMU, Aug 17: Chief Engineer, (Distribution) JPDCL, Jammu has informed that to carry out preventive maintenance, the shutdown of 132/33KV Grid Station Mahanpur is being observed.
During the shutdown, the power supply to Basholi, Bani, Mahanpur, Machedi, Gurah Kalyal and adjoining areas will remain affected on August 18 from 7 am to 11 am.
Similarly, for urgent maintenance and branch cutting, the shutdown of 33 KV feeders is being observed. During the shutdown, the power supply to Bahu Plaza, Trikuta Nagar, Divcom Office Gandhi Nagar, Duda Dhari Mandir, Nanak Nagar, Sanjay Nagar, Gole Market and its adjoining areas will remain affected on August 19 from 6.30 am to 9.30 am.
Likewise, the power supply to Apna Vihar, Ekta Vihar, Bandhu Rakh, Air Force Kunjawani, MES Kunjwani, Kunjwani Market and adjoining areas will remain affected on August 19 from 7 am to 10 am.
Meanwhile, Superintending Engineer (Distribution) JPDCL, O&M Circle, Kathua has informed that for branch cutting of trees and erection of 11 KV line isolators in Kartholi area, the power supply to Industries Kartholi, Dhyansar and Sarore will remain affected on August 19 from 8 am to 2 pm.
Similarly, for 11 KV Pole erection and 11 KV 120 Sq. MM cabling work under IPDS Scheme by Transrail Lighting Limited, the power supply to Vijaypur Town-I, Vijaypur Town-II, Vijaypur Town-III, Hospital Vijaypur, feeder and Bandral feeder etc will remain affected on August 18, 20 and 22 from 9 am to 2 pm.
However, according to Executive Engineer, Sub Transmission Division-I, Jammu, that due to hot weather conditions and resultant overloading of electrical infrastructure at Grid Station Barn, the Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Ltd, shall enforce load shedding in different areas alternatively on rotational basis w.e.f 18th August, 2020.
For the purpose, the power supply to Rajinder Nagar, Swaran Vihar, Kairan, Laxmipuram, Kote Bhalwal, Kote, BDO Block, Kangan Morh, Ganink, Central Jail, Kala Gam Theatre and adjoining areas will remain affected from 10 am to 12 noon, 2 pm to 4 pm, 6 pm to 7.30 pm and 9 pm to 10.30 pm.
Similarly, the power supply to Karwanda, Patta, Barn, Marjali, Seri, Thather, Bantalab and adjoining areas will remain affected from 12 noon to 2 pm, 4 pm to 6 pm, 7.30 pm to 9 pm and 10.30 pm to 12:00 mid night. Likewise, the power supply to Ranjan, Gour, Jandial, Sukha Grand, Chenani and adjoining areas will remain affected from 10 am to 12 noon, 2 pm to 4 pm, 6 pm to 7.30 pm and 9 pm to 10.30 pm.
Similarly, the power supply to Gharota, Amb, Thathi, Beri Chapdi, Jandial Thathi and adjoining areas will remain affected from 12 noon to 2 pm, 4 pm to 6 pm, 7.30 pm to 9 pm and 10.30 pm to 12:00 mid night. Likewise, the power supply to Jagti, Nagrota and adjoining areas will remain affected from 10 am to 12 noon, 2 pm to 4 pm, 6 pm to 7.30 pm and 9 pm to 10.30 pm.
Similarly, the power supply to Bamyal, Seri, Panjgarian, Nagore, Toll Post and Kattal Battal will remain affected from 12 noon to 2 pm, 4 pm to 6 pm, 7.30 pm to 9 pm and 10.30 pm to 12:00 mid night.
Likewise, the power supply to Doordarshan, Patoli, Brahamna, Sangrampur, Purkhoo, Purkhoo Camp, Thaffo Chak, Domana, bawe Talab, Gura Singu, Shamachak, Chak Mandu, Gum Pull, Chor Pull, Manyal and Dabbein will remain affected from 10 am to 12 noon, 2 pm to 4 pm, 6 pm to 7.30 pm and 9 pm to 10.30 pm. Similarly, the power supply to Part of Purkhoo, Mishriwala, Pandorian, Pakhiya, Hari Singh Garat, Simbal Bala, Kangral Dyrain and Assron will remain affected from 12 noon to 2 pm, 4 pm to 6 pm, 7.30 pm to 9 pm and 10.30 pm to 12:00 mid night.
