MP Jugal Kishore reviews progress of CSSs at DISHA meeting
Inaugurates several projects; interacts with deputations

RAJOURI, Aug 19: Member Parliament, Jammu-Poonch constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma, today chaired a meeting of District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee – DISHA to review the physical and financial achievements under various centrally sponsored schemes being implemented in Rajouri district.
The MP is on a two day tour to the border district Rajouri-Poonch. During his first leg of the tour he inaugurated a number of projects and interacted with the public deputations.
The meeting was attended by District Development Commissioner Mohammad Nazir Sheikh; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sher Singh; Joint Director planning, Shama-un Ahmed; General Manager DIC, Manzoor Ahmed; Chief Executive Officer, Rajouri Development Authority, Vivek Puri; Assistant Commissioner Development, Sushi Khajuria; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Mohammad Ashraf; DSEO Rajouri, Bilal Mir; officers from BRO and other district /sectoral officers.
The meeting was also attended by Dr Nisar chowdhary, Dr Ankita Sawhney, Capt. Rtd Ashok Kumar and Rinku Sharma.
At the outset, the DDC Rajouri gave a powerpoint presentation on the achievements and progress under different schemes and the status of various developmental projects being executed in the district by different agencies.
It was informed that Rs 352 crore has been sanctioned under Languishing project scheme for 208 projects including roads, bridges, school buildings, Jal shakti schemes.
The DDC said that 109 projects have been completed till date and the rest are at different stages of execution.
The MP directed the officers concerned to resolve the bottlenecks, if any.
The District Development Commissioner also appraised the chair about the measures taken to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the district. He informed that at present there are only 64 active cases in the district.
The MP took a comprehensive review of physical and financial achievements of centrally sponsored schemes MUDRA, PMGSY, DDUGJY, NRLM, PMUJ, PMKSY, PMUY, SAUBHAGYA, IWMP, MGNREGA,ICDS,BBBP, PM-KISAN, KCC Swachh Bharat Mission, etc. The MP also reviewed the achievements of various schemes implemented by the PWD, PDD, Jal Shakti Department, Agriculture, Horticulture, Education, Social Welfare, Labor Department, urban development department and others.
On the occasion, the MP also felicitated the Officers for their role in the containment and management of COVID-19 in the district. The officers felicitated were Assistant Director, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Mukhtar Ahmed Lone; Assistant Labour Commissioner, Angrez Singh; District Information Officer, Narinder Raina; Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Inzar Rana and District ASHA Coordinator Dr Farooq Mir.
The MP instructed the concerned functionaries to make sure that the benefits under various Central Sponsored Schemes percolate to the targeted sections.
He also stressed on creating mass awareness for the effective implementation of Central Sponsored Schemes at the grassroots level.
The MP emphasized on optimum utilization of available resources and instructed the concerned officers for regular monitoring and follow- up of all ongoing development works to achieve quality parameters.
The MP also lauded the efforts of district administration in effective containment and management of the COVID-19 pandemic in the district. He also expressed satisfaction on the overall progress of the district in the implementation of the centrally sponsored schemes.
He also advised the members of PRIs and MCs to effectively monitor and help administration in successful implementation of the schemes.
