Ramban admin felicitates COVID-19 warriors; releases Coffee Table Book

RAMBAN, Aug 19: The first “Coffee Table Book” of Ramban district was today released by the District Development Commissioner (DDC), Nazim Zai Khan in presence of the Block Development Council (BDC) Chairpersons and senior officers of civil and police administration.
On the occasion, several officers and officials of civil administration, Police and Traffic Police were felicitated for their distinguished services in administration, besides their role in the fight against COVID-19.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Haseeb-ur-Rehman; SSP Traffic, JS Johar; ADC, Ashok Sharma; CPO, Dr. Kasturi Lal; SDM, Banihal, Zaheer Abas; SDM, Ramsu, Dil-Mir- Chowdhary; ACD, DPO, CMO, CEO, Xens of PDD, PHE and several other officer and officials were present on the occasion. While lauding the efforts of the COVID-19 warriors, the DDC said that their untiring and dedicated services have saved many lives in the district. He said that the first Coffee Table Book showcases the developmental achievements made by all departments in the past one year and major national projects coming up in the district, besides providing an insight into the history, culture and tradition and highlighting tourism and other potentials of the district.
He said that with this Coffee Table Book the performance of the government especially that of the key departments have been highlighted. He said that adequate copies of this book will be provided to each Panchayat for information of the public.
He thanked the government of Jammu and Kashmir for providing an opportunity to bring out a beautiful as well as attractive and informative document in public domain. He hoped that it (publication of Coffee Table Book) shall be made an annual feature.
He appreciated the team comprising officers and officials for publication of the book in a presentable form in a limited duration.
