Mayor inaugurates Open Gym In Ward No.66

JAMMU, Aug 19: Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation today alongwith madam Tripta Devi Councilor of ward no 66 conducted an extensive tour in the different localities of the ward, met with the residents & listened to their grievances & inaugurated an open gym with requisite number of equipments at Saraswati park situated at sec-7 lower Roop Nagar Jammu.
Rajinder Singh, District President (Rural), BJP, Sh Suresh Khajuria Raipur Mandal President,BJP Sh Tara chand Vice President, BJP mandal Raipur as well as other prominent residents of the locality were also present during the tour .
Mayor told that Jammu Municipal Corporation has already taken up the job of commissioning open gyms alongwith installing requisite number of equipment related to it with an estimated cost of 2.00 lacs in each ward of the city on the demands of the councilors & general public. The whole project is worth Rs 1.50 crore so that children, general public & locals can take full benefits of these facilities in an open as well as in eco friendly atmosphere and inhale fresh air while performing physical exercise and its related activities. He further said that the concept of constructing open gyms in the park is a unique idea and wonderful innovation and it is dire requirement in these days of busy schedule of human life as it caters with all the necessary requirements which are necessary to maintain physical fitness in one’s life. Moreover common man & house wives who have not sufficient money & time can also avail full benefit of these facilities at any time & without spending money.
Mayor assured the public that all their grievances will be sorted out within stipulated time period and directed the concerned officers of JMC to take immediate necessary measures for keeping the Maharaja Jambulochan park, neat, clean & green by deploying extra men & machinery with the active support of the locals as well as concerned councilor.
