Doda Medical College gets affiliation for MBBS seats
People express gratitude, demand Dr Azad’s one year extension as principal

Doda, Aug 20 : While Govt. Medical College, Doda gets affiliation grant from University of Jammu for conducting MBBS courses, the step is being welcomed bu the residents of the Doda as a boon for the students pursuing medical in their professional pursuits.
Jammu University has granted conduct for 100 seats in the institution for the MBBS students.
People of Doda have contributed this landmark establishment to the selfless efforts of principal professor Dr Tariq Azad who has been tirelessly advocating the need of establishment of the institution as well as the requirement of the doctors in the Medical College.
In this regard the people of Doda have sent a memorandum o the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha for giving extension of at least one year to Dr Azad so that the new order in DMC can be streamlined and the new batches of MMBS students could get state of art facilities in conduct of their professional pursuits.
The Jammu University has also granted affiliation for 60 seats of Paramedical Degree Courses with 20 seats each in Medical Lab Technology, Dialysis Technology and Operation Theatre Technology. This step is a great boost to the academic activities in the institution and shall benefit the whole region.
This was possible only under the dynamic leadership of Atal Dulloo, I.A.S, Financial Commissioner Health & Medical Education and Dr. Yashpal Sharma, Director Coordination, New Medical Colleges of the state, who provided every possible support in up-bringing of the institution and achieving this feat.
People of Doda also express their gratitude to Prof. Manoj Dhar, Vice Chancellor University of Jammu, Prof. A.S. Jasrotia, Director College Development Council University of Jammu, Prof. N.C Digra, President Paramedical Council and Principal Govt. Medical College, Jammu, Prof. Pawan Malhotra, Director ASCOMS Jammu and Dr. Sandeep Singh, Registrar J&K Paramedical Council, for granting affiliation.
