DADAA delegation calls on Advisor Sharma, submits memorandum of demands

JAMMU, Aug 30: A delegation of Doordarshan Approved Drama Artists Association (DADAA) Jammu called on the K K Sharma, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, here today at Udyog Bhawan and apprised him of their long pending demands.
The delegation comprising of J S Babli President, Madan Rangila Vice President and Janak Khajuria Secretary-cum-Spokesperson handed over memorandum to the Advisor regarding various demands of DADAA.
Babli said that DADAA is demanding satellite Duggar Channel with sole aim to promote, protect and develop the rich culture, heritage and languages spoken in the Duggar land and also generate the employment.
Further Janak Khajuria secretary cum spokesperson of DADAA said that more than one crore Dogri speaking population stretched between Mirpur, Bhimber, Bag, Siyalkot and Shakargarh in Pakistan and Gurdaspur, Pathankot and Hoshiarpur in Punjab and some portion of Himachal Pradesh.
He, also apprised the advisor that Jammu is a suitable place being near to the International Boarder and Line of Control to propagate and promote the prospective polices of Govt of India. Khajuria requested the Advisor that budget in grant for DDK Jammu be allotted and immediate restoration of in house programmes in the categories of Drama/ serials and developmental programs will provide some immediate relief to the local artist and we hope that our demands find the place in the agenda of business for some result-oriented action so that the starvation situation faced by the highly talented artists substituted with hope and positivity for a better future of their wards.
Advisor K K Sharma listened to the delegation patiently and assured to take the matter with concerned authorities.
