KP migrants hail Citizens charter of RRCM

JAMMU,Sept 3:Government of Jammu and Kashmir union territory has released citizens charter of Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner office which has been widely hailed by Kashmiri Pandit migrants living in camps , non camps across Jammu region sources said here today.
Relief and Rehabilitation Organisation was created vide Govt. Order No. 52/CR/REV/ER of 1990 dated: 23-03-1990 with a mandate to provide cash assistance, ration and shelter to migrated families from Kashmir valley for sustenance of life the charter reads.
The aim / purpose of this charter is to provide good governance by
incorporating transparency, accountability and responsiveness in the administration. It is declaration of commitment to superiority in service to public.
Department of Relief & Rehabilitation delivers services to Registered Migrants which include Issuance of Domicile Certificates, to register Kashmiri migrants or Displaced Persons in terms of Govt. Order No. 52 JK (DMRRR) of 2020, Dated:16-05-2020 for Domicile Certificate, Issuance of migration certificates for educational purposes, issuance of Ration Cards in lieu of torn out ration cardsin stupilated time frame.
Similarly, issuance of Ration Coupens for one year to Relief category migrants;inclusion, deletion, bifurcation, corrections in the name of Kids etc.besides maintance and upkeep of buildings and facilities therein for the 'migrants'at various places in Jammu and Kashmir Valley. The process of the medical cases for reimbursement to the migrants and maintance of records pertaining to migrants, the charter further reads.
For other various purposes migrants can obtain imformation for redressal of their problems from their respective zone offices or personnel section of RRCM office on their contact numbers given in the charter it said.
Kashmiri Pandit migrants have expressed their satisfaction on the release of charter."We have been fighting for release of this charter since years together but it is better late than never",said social activist Sunil Pandita while talking to EarlyTimes on phone. He appreciated teh role of AD Planning Rajesh Kapoor in partcular and expressed hope that coordination between migrants and the Relief organization, will further strengthen and the working towards development of the issues pertaining to migrants will get a pace, Sunil further added.
