Jammu, Sept 5: Continuing his Endeavour to provide better development & civic amenities to the people of Jammu, the Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation Chander Mohan Gupta along with Surinder Choudhary councilor of ward no.29 today on 05/09/2020 and kick started construction work of deep drain in the lane no.17 and lane no.2 Rajpura Mangotrian in ward no.29. Arun Gupta, Executive Engineer JMC and field staff of engineering division –II JMC, concerned contractor Sahil Sharma, Karan Sharma, Atul Bakshi, Rakesh Bali and Ashok, and prominent citizens were also present during the tour of the Mayor & Councilor.
This was the long pending demands of the residents of the locality and they have requested the concerned councilor and Mayor to construct this particular deep drain for the convenience of the general public as due to damaged drain in the lane no 17 and lane no. 2 dirty water often over flows and enters into the houses of the inhabitants especially during rainy season causes major loss to the costly household articles.
Besides, children and old persons residing in the locality faces great hardships while passing through the lane. Mayor told that construction of this deep drain will be executed at the estimate cost of Rs. 13.81 lacs only and directed the concerned engineering wing to complete the work with good quality material, upto to the satisfaction of councilor as well as locals and within the stipulated time period. |
