Jammu, Sept 6: Reacting to the letter of JDA and JMC with a view to dilute the controversy regarding the response by historic panchvakhtar temple land row, Congress has termed it mere eye wash and an attempt to shield those responsible for deliberately and fraudulently creating the mess with an ulterior motive and attempt to illegally grab the temple land worth crores for construction of commercial complex and parking in connivance with big private player.
Congress Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma that the government has not cleared the title of land of the temple but only JDA, a subordinate office writes to the higher office of divisional Commissioner to verify the title, while the JMC has tried to pull out of the issue after the entire conspiracy got exposed, without explaining how all through it was silent and who claimed title of the land in favour of JMC, without its knowledge. It is very funny and full of suspicion, justifying the independent probe. The basic issue is how the entire machinery of JK UT administration and the NHPDCL, a PSU of government of India went ahead to the extent of floating tenders, clandestinly and without the notice of care taker and permission of the court. And on whose behest this has been done all through. Simply a letter of VC JDA to the divisional Commissioner and withdrawal of NIT, with regret and a clarification of JMC, does not solve the controversy until the hidden hands and vested interests are unmasked through a high level independent probe besides the total and clear admission of the title of the land by the government in favour of rightful owner, the temple.
