SAMBA, Sept 10: Huge participation and projection of their issues by the locals marked the first day of Jan abhiyan across the Panchyats of nine blocks of the Samba district.
The officers and officials present at the gatherings noted the grievances of the people and redressed many on the spot.
A district level officer and field functionaries of line departments have been deputed for addressing the issues of locals.
The people raised a host of issues seeking adequate drinking water supply, smooth supply of power, maintenance of existing and construction of new roads, clearance of pendency under social Security schemes, opening of new health centres, economic avenues generating projects, issuance of domicile, caste and dependency certificates, besides other issues related to revenue department.
Meanwhile, District Development Commissioner, Rohit Khajuria took appraisal of the activities if each block and directed to provide maximum relief to the public by redressing their genuine demands and issues. He stressed on maintaining a close liaison with panchayat members andd Block development council chairpersons for resolving the bottlenecks, if any. |
