Early Times Report

JAMMU, Sept 10: BJP leaders and Panchayat Members from Domana area in Jammu District today joined the Apni Party.
In a statement to the press, the Apni Party Provincial President Manjit Singh welcomed them into the Party and hoped that their joining would strengthen the party in the district.
“Naib Sarpanch, Domana, Subash Singh Chib, Panch Domana Kuldeep Singh Bahu and Karan Singh Manhas were affiliated with the BJP and today, they have joined the Apni Party,” said Manjit Singh in his welcome address. The joining was facilitated by Bodh Raj and Jagdish Pandey.
In his welcome address, Manjit Singh assured that the party will leave no stone unturned to fulfill demands of the people. He said the Apni Party stands for the unity of Jammu and Kashmir and equal treatment to all the people irrespective of any regional barriers. “We are not here to play regional or religious politics in J&K. Our President Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari has a clear agenda of uniting people, ending divisive politics and doing politics of truthfulness. We do not give emotional slogans and mislead people. We assure what is achievable,” Manjit Singh said in his address. On this occasion, Apni Party leaders Madan Lal Chalotra, Pranav Sagotra and Surdeesh Rana were also present. After joining Apni Party, Naib Sarpanch, Subash Singh Chib said that the road in Lower Domana Panchayat is in bad condition and the concerned department has failed to construct the road despite tendering has been done.
“The Panchayat lacks developmental works,” he said, adding he appealed to the administration to look into issues like supply of electricity, clean drinking water and improvement in roads and other infrastructure in the area.
The area is not far-away from Jammu City yet the administration has failed to provide basic amenities, he added.
