DDC Kishtwar seeks active participation of people in Jan Abhiyan

KISHTWAR, Sept 11: District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Singh Tara today sought active participation of the people in the 3 week Jan Abhiyan being held as a precursor to the Back to Village phase lll programme (B2V3).
Addressing media persons here, he stated that this Abhiyan would act as the foundational stone for the B2V3 programme starting from 2nd October and ending on 12 October 2020.
The DDC informed that JAN ABHIYAN /AWAMI MUHIM includes the implementation of three component viz Adhikar Abhiyan/MUHIM Barai-e-Haqooq, Unnat Gram Abhiyan/Dehi Taraqiyati Muhim and Jan Sunwai Abhiyan/Awami Sunwai Muhim.
He briefed that during these 21 days of the Jan Abhiyan/Awami Muhim 100% coverage of the target population under the various individual beneficiary schemes shall be held and deliverance of 87 designated services shall be ensured in the Special camps which includes the issuance of domicile/income/SC /ST/RBA certificates, cent percent enrollment with various schemes like pension schemes, KCC ,PM Kissan , 100% Aadhaar seeding, registration for labour cards and PMAY sanctioning at the door step of the eligible beneficiaries.
He stated that a mega push will be given towards developmental activities by taking up the maximum possible MGNREGA works on the ground ,commencement of works already approved under 14 FC plan, execution on the CSS/PMDP/District and state plans work during the Jan Abhiyan.
Besides, a special thrust on the follow up of B2V-1 and B2V-2 for each Panchayat by taking up and completion of payments of at least two priority works will be laid in this programme.
Moreover, DDC stated that special focus on the abhiyan would be to improve service delivery and on the spot redressal of public grievances by getting together functionaries of all the concerned departments at predetermined time and place.
In this regard Block diwas/ Youm-e-block shall be held on the three Wednesdays ie 16th, 23rd and 30th of September 2020 at all the 13 blocks of the District at the identified places and the designated officers has been appointed as the Nodal officers for each blocks who shall monitor all the activities during the programme and shall share the action taken report with higher ups for further compilation and submission in the office of DC Kishtwar on daily basis for effective implementation of the programme, he informed.
Furthermore, he informed media persons that the Nodal department (RDD) along with the Health Department have been asked to ensure that the SOPs and COVID19 protocols are strictly followed during the Jan Abhiyan.
DDC Kishtwar informed that he himself along with SSP Kishtwar is going to personally inspect the activities at each block during the three week programme.
He appealed to the people to actively participate in the 21 days long Jan Abhiyan ahead of the flagship “Back to Village Phase -lII programme.
The DDC also asked the media fraternity to spread awareness and give wide publicity regarding the Back to Village programme for its grand success.
