9/13/2020 12:38:31 AM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 12: Aggrieved by non release of salary for the last four month , sfc employees hailing , from Ramban,Doda, Bhaderwah, Kishtwar, Udhampur,Reasi, Billawer, Kathua , Rajouri ,workshop Jammu held a day long convention at sfc sales depot Bachan Jammu in order to discuss the difficulties faced by employees due to indifferent attitude of the management/govt towards hapless employees.
The employees later held a protest demonstration in support of their demands . They raised slogans against the govt and in support of their demands. Addressing media persons after convention Suresh Sharma spokesman JKFCEF lambasted the present govt.for muzzling the genuine voice of employees which bearing the brunt of skyrocketing prices and pandemic. They are without salaries for the last four months and are at verge of starvation without pay. For last over few months the employees have been demonstrating throughout union territory but there is no response from the govt and there is suffocating situation. Sharma questioned rationale behind the hastened move of MHA to repeal corporation Act. 1978 before drawing a well thought road map for watching the interest of more than 2500 existing employees of sfc
Inspite of the fact that GOI had already provided Rs. 230 crores in the union budget for JKUT, why the Grant in aid is not released by the ut administrative. He demanded that since the management has now deposited earned revenue to the tune of more 35 crores in govt treasury , there should be no hitch now to release GIA to FDC. Since govt is 100 percent shareholder in new FDC, it is not understood why there is delay in registration of FDc
He appealed LG and chief secretary to delink release if GIA from that of registration if FDC and release the same without fail otherwise the employees have to intensify it’s struggle for getting their legitimate dues.
He lamented that not to speak of pending salary , no dpc is held for the last two years and maximum employees are victims of incharge-ism, 7p.c is not implemented like other PSUs, 6th p.c arrears are pending and no steps taken to square up 39 pc less DA. SRO 64 employees are uniquely placed and they are not properly considered. He demanded and warned the State administration that much water has flown under tawi river and patience if employees shouldn’t be tested any more. In the convention after long debate it was resolved that in case govt does not release grant in aid for disbursement of four months salary in one go before 22.9.2020 the employees will observe one day pen down/ tool down strike throughout union territory on 23.9.2020 to highlight their all demands and release of pay with full might throughout union territory and whole responsibility shall be if the management.
