Early Times Report

SUNDERBANI, Oct 9: The compound of Sub District Hospital (SDH) here in the Rajouri district has come up as a perfect place for parking of vehicles of the locals as well as shopkeepers. As a result of the same the patients as well as attendants are suffering like anything. Sources told Early Times that very little space is left for the ambulances to be parked in the compound of the SDH Sunderbani. They said the staff members of the hospital including doctors face difficulties in parking their vehicles in the compound of the health centre.
“The maximum problems are faced by the ambulance drivers since they have to enter and leave the hospital premises on regular basis. Due to the mess in the compound the serious patients who have to be shifted to Government Medical College, Jammu are on risk of losing their precious lives,” said sources.
Sources said the locals as well as shopkeepers have no concern for the human lives and same gets reflected due to their irresponsible behavior while parking their vehicles in the hospital compound. They said the repeated requests to them have fallen on deaf ears with the patients, attendants and staffers of hospital being ultimate sufferers.
Block Medical Officer, Sunderbani, Manzoor Hussain said that the hospital administration had many times requested the people not to park their vehicles in hospital compound adding that people are least concerned about the same. The responsible people along with the hospital staffers have appealed DC Rajouri to intervene in the matter and solve the problem.
