DLSA organized Musharia on International Day of the Girl Child

Udhampur, Oct 10: To celebrate ‘International Day of the Girl Child’, on the eve of the day ,the District Legal Services Authority Udhampur (DLSA ) today organized a unique Mushaira through webinar in which local poet ,poetesses, and students of school and colleges participated .
Musharia was organized by Secretary ,DLSA Mrs Sandeep Kour under the able guidance and chairman ship of Chairman District Legal Services Authority ( DLSA ) Mohan Lal Manhas . Beside others Addl Session Judge S.R Gandhi , Sub Judge CJM Mohd Rafiq Chak , Addl Special Mobie Magistrate Mrs Girja Shavan , Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committees Ramnagar , Chenani and Majalata were present through webinar .
This year the theme of International Day of the Girl Child is “My voice, our equal future”. The theme focuses on how girls globally are leading the way. International Day of the Girl Child is a United Nations designated day, observed every year on October 11.
The event started with a welcome speech by Secretary DLSA, Mrs Sandeep Kour , welcoming the distinguished speaker and participants and sharing a brief biography of the speaker.
Speaking in the Musharia renowned poetess Mrs Rekha Thakur , Kusum Sharma, and student of women college udhampur Manvi and Janvi Sharma and others enthralled the audience with their shero-shayari and poem recitation on girl child .
Chairman DLSA Mohan Lal Manhas speaking on the occasion said that International Day of the Girl Child is celebrated annually on 11 October to highlight and draw attention towards the challenges that girls’ face. It also focus on their human rights and empowerment.
The event started with a welcome speech by Anchor Raman Gupta and vote of thanks was presented by Secretary DLSA, Mrs Sandeep Kour who deliberated on the international girl child day and appreciated the part, welcoming the distinguished speaker and thanks participants for highlighting plight and achievements of girls on the day .
