| Training imparted to ROs, AROs in Rajouri | | | RAJOURI, Oct 13: On the directions of District Panchayat Election Officer, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh, a daylong training programme was organised today to impart training to Returning Officers (ROs) and Assistant Returning Officers (AROs). The ROs and AROs were imparted training by the District level Master Trainer Prof.Iqbal Raina. The Master trainer gave hands-on training to the poll staff about the process of polling and collection of polling material, handling of ballot boxes and subsequent counting of votes and other procedures to be adopted for smooth conduct of Panchayat By-Elections. Elaborate and detailed guidance was also imparted in connection with the poll day and after poll procedure and Model Code of Conduct. Deputy District Election Officer, Shafiq Mir, while speaking to the ROs and AROs stressed on them to minutely go through the handbook/ manual and take every step thoughtfully for smooth conduct of the bye- election.
