Jammu, Oct 13: Continuing his Endeavour to provide best development and Civic amenities to the people of Jammu, Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation along with Nidhi Magotra Councilor of Ward No.17 today conducted an extensive tour of Amphalla, Pacca Talab & its adjoining areas and kick started the work of laying of slab on the nallah as well as its renovation flowing through Pacca Talab.
Dinesh Gupta Councilor of ward no.18, Balwan Singh Ex-councilor of ward no.17 alongwith prominent inhabitants of the area as well as Arun Gupta Executive Engineer division –II , Junior engineer of the ward, concerned contractor & supervisory staff of Health and Sanitation section of JMC were also present there during the tour.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor told that an amount of Rs. 10 lacs has been sanctioned for this development work in terms of repair/laying of slab & other allied works of the nallah & the half of work has already been completed.
He further said that the rest of the work was delayed due to covid-19 & shortage of material & non availability of sufficient labour & now the remaining work has been started to fulfill the long pending demands of the locals who were suffering great hardships while passing through this locality due to broken part of the nallah. He directed the concerned engineering section and contractor to complete this work within stipulated time frame by applying best quality & durable construction material & upto the satisfaction of the public.
