Jodhamal school students win INTACH Quiz

Jammu, Oct 13: Jodhamal school quizzers have once again proved their mettle in the quizzing arena by clinching the City Finale Trophy in the online INTACH QUIZ COMPETITION. Eighty Students from different schools such as BSF Senior Secondary School, APS Damana, APS Jammu Cantt, G.D Goenka, Heritage, KC International and Model Academy participated in the first round of the quiz.
The Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) was founded in 1984 in New Delhi with the vision to spearhead heritage awareness and conservation in India. Today INTACH is recognized as one of the world’s largest heritage organizations, with over 190 Chapters across the Country. In the past 31 years INTACH has pioneered the conservation and preservation of not just our natural and built heritage but intangible heritage as well.
This year the amidst the pandemic the responsibility of hosting the quiz online was undertaken by Jodhamal Public School, a leading and active member of INTACH Jammu chapter. In the grilling first round where the teams fought for securing a place in the finals, four top teams qualified for the city finals with Jodhamal quizzers leading the tally with highest points.
Team Jodhamal comprising of Swayambhu and Lakshya Singh Sambyal both class 10th students emerged as winners of the city finals of the INTACH Quiz. The quiz questions comprised of a mixture of National and Local heritage. The winning team will now lock horns with teams from other states in the National Finals.
