DDC Udhampur inspects progress on Theme Park project

UDHAMPUR, Oct 15: To take the stock of ongoing developmental works of Devika theme park being executed by R&B department, District Development Commissioner, Dr. Piyush Singla along with a team of concerned district officers today conducted an extensive visit of Devika Ghat and inspected the ongoing developmental works.
While inspecting the ongoing developmental works, the DDC asked the R&B department to clear the old structures for smooth and speedy execution of the project. He stressed on activation of more men and machinery for completion of project within set time frame.
“Aim of this project is to provide green space and parking space to Udhampur town with an aesthetic look” DDC added.
It is pertinent to mention here that the theme park will have recreational and entertainment facilities for children, beside act as awareness centre for spreading the message of culture heritage of Udhampur District. Theme park will also display the blue print of Devika project and a recreational centre to provide information to visitors. Theme park will also have parking facility which will help long way in decongestion of traffic jam in the town.
Among others, Chief Planning Officer, Rajeev Bhushan, SE PWD, Shakti Sagar, Xen PHE, Taj Choudhary, DIO, Er. Sajad Bashir Somberia and other officers were present on the occasion.
