Jammu, Oct 15: State President of Jammu Kashmir Teachers/Master Association Rakesh Singh and State General secretary Vivek Gupta expressed resentment against the School Education Higher officials for non fulfillment of long pending genuine demands of teaching fraternity despite their repeated requests.
Singh while interacting with the media said that "despite assurance from worthy Commissioner secretary school education department Dr. Asgar Samoon regarding DPC of teachers to masters and Lecturers no concrete is seen on ground till date even the seniority lists prepared by department is full of flaws as many fake distance degree holders are entered in the seniority lists of science stream despite supreme court ruling that no distance degrees of science stream is to be considered as recognized except those whose enrollment in the course is prior to 2005 December as per SRO 252 of Higher education ". Vikram Gupta state vice president highlighted the issue of pay anomaly of Teachers in the Union territory of Jammu Kashmir as pay band of teachers in Jammu Kashmir is far less as compared to other U.Ts which has created resentment in teachers’ fraternity as a whole.
Provincial President of Jammu Ajay Sharma expressed strong resentment against DSEJ for not considering the genuine issue of Transfer of teachers and masters despite completing the tenure in hard areas as per transfer policy and demanded the transfer on rotation basis as per guidelines of transfer policy.
